Exploring the North Shore of Kauai

Day 2 on Kauai took us to the North Shore where we explored the area between Princeville and the “end of the road”/opposite side of the Na Pali coast from where we visited on Day 1.  Highlights included a monk seal sighting on Ha’ena Beach and dipping our toes into  the calm waters of world famous Hanalei Bay. We checked out that “other” 5 star resort on the island (spoiler alert, I think we liked ours a little better) and discovered the Secret Beach that wasn’t so secret.

If its true that a picture’s worth a thousand words, I’ll shut up and let my images do most of the talking. Kauai is a place of phenomenal beauty and I feel like we only scratched the surface of what the North Shore has to offer. Unfortunately, we didn’t didn’t get to do and see it all on our short trip there, but I am incredibly grateful for the time we spent there nonetheless. On the list for next time: Stand up paddling Hanalei Bay (I opted for the Wailua River this time) and hiking the Na Pali Coast (or at least some of it once our kiddo gets a little bigger).
