Surf’s Up and winter on Oahu’s North Shore is the place to be. The unique geography of the Hawaiian islands combined with the right weather patterns is the perfect recipe for some of the biggest waves in the world! The Van’s Triple Crown of Surfing in scheduled to take place between Nov 12 and Dec 20th, at various locations along the North Shore. To find out more about these exciting events visit vanstriplecrownofsurfing.com. As one of the premier gatherings in the sport, it draws athletes and spectators from around the world.
We’ll be headed back to Maui in a few weeks, which is home to another famous big wave surfing mecca, Jaws. Also known as Peahi, waves there can reach in excess of 60ft!
